BabysitEase charges a scheduling fee. Care provider rates are paid directly to the sitter/nanny/pet sitter.

We interview and pre-screen sitters, and we do the scheduling for you. All babysitters are over 18 and have their own transportation.

Note: Babysitting caregiver rates are paid directly to the sitter. (3-hour minimum for families, 2-hour minimum for non-profit groups). Most sitters accept cash and check; many accept digital payments (Venmo, Zelle, etc.).

Overnight definition: an overnight pet sit typically means the sitter stays with your pets for at least 10 hours (up to 12 hours), e.g. 7pm–7am. If you’d like additional daytime visits, you may negotiate with your sitter as long as the minimum guideline is adhered to.

Placement Cost

$1,900 total

  • $200 non-refundable at start of search
  • $1,700 balance due on nanny's first day

Hourly Rates

Nanny hourly rates start at $19/hour based on number of children, job requirements, and nanny experience. Contact us for a more detailed estimate.

Cancellations

The cancellation fee applies to sits cancelled within the last 24 hours before the start of a scheduled sit. 100% of this fee is passed on to the sitter to compensate for lost hours.

We do not issue refunds for placement fees once a sitter has been assigned. However, we will refund your placement fee if we are unable to find you a sitter or if you need to cancel your request before one has been found.

Care providers receive $1 more per hour (holiday pay rate) for the holidays listed below.

As New Year's Eve is the busiest night of the year for sitters, rates are higher—please check with BabysitEase.

Overnight Rates (Babysitting)

Sitters should be paid the hourly rate for the time children are awake plus $100 for sleeping time.

If children are in school during the overnight stay and the sitter is responsible to be available to pick them up in case of illness/school closure, the sitter should be paid for those hours as well.

Transportation Fees

Transportation fees only refer to any time a sitter is actively transporting your children from point A to point B.

For pet sitters, transportation fees only refer to any time a sitter is actively transporting your pets from point A to point B (at your request).

Next-Day Availability

Families will be contacted by 6pm if no sitter is available for the next day's sit.
